Notes

Studio recording, 1998. Scott Lucas uses a unique split-output Telecaster with a bass pickup for the low strings routed to a separate Ampeg bass amp. For the clean riff, the main guitar signal goes to a Vox AC15 combo amp. No evidence of pedals or effects used for the clean riff section; distortion and octave pedals are used for heavier sections.

Difficulty

The clean riff requires precise muting and dynamic control to maintain clarity and percussiveness, but uses straightforward chord shapes and moderate tempo.
