Studio recording, 1980. The main riff was played by bassist John Deacon on a Fender Stratocaster through his own homemade amp. Brian May did not play the main riff; he only added noise effects. No evidence of Brian May's Red Special or Vox AC30 on the riff section. No evidence of effects pedals used for the main riff.
