Studio recording, 1993-1994. Guitar is a heavily modded Strat-style with a humbucker in the bridge. Amp is a Marshall Super Lead head, modded, run through a 4x12 cab. No evidence of pedals used in the main riff section; distortion is from the amp. Settings estimated from forum and Reddit posts referencing 'Dookie' era. No evidence of effects loop or additional pedals for the riff.
