Studio recording, 2005 (All the Right Reasons era). The heavy riff tone is achieved with a Les Paul Custom into a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier, as confirmed by Premier Guitar's rig rundown. No evidence of alternate guitars or amps for the main riff section in the studio. Peake and Kroeger both used similar rigs for heavy tones.
