Notes

Live performance, early 1990s. Jerry Cantrell used the G&L Rampage with a single Seymour Duncan JB humbucker for most Alice In Chains live shows in this era. Clean sections were played with the guitar volume rolled back and amp gain low. No evidence of alternate guitars or amps for clean sections in live Bleed the Freak performances.

Difficulty

The clean riff requires accurate arpeggiated picking with string skipping and dynamic control via the guitar's volume knob, but does not involve advanced techniques or fast tempo.
