Notes

Live performance, December 13, 1993, MTV Live & Loud. Kurt used the Mustang for most of the set, including 'Blew.' The SansAmp Classic was used as the main distortion/preamp, not a traditional guitar amp. DOD FX69 Grunge and Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion pedals were also present on his board, but for 'Blew' the SansAmp was primary. No chorus or modulation effects are audible in the riff section.

Difficulty

The riff is straightforward but requires tight, aggressive palm muting and fast chord changes at high volume, making it slightly above beginner level but not technically complex.
