Notes

Studio recording, 1975. All gear and settings refer to the original studio version, not live. Brian May used his Red Special with unique pickup wiring and a Vox AC30. Clean sections are achieved by rolling back the guitar volume and using a treble booster for clarity, but with low gain for clean passages.

Difficulty

The clean solo requires intermediate-level control of dynamics, pickup selection, and articulation to achieve the signature tone and phrasing. While not technically fast, the nuances of Brian May's touch and the unique wiring make it challenging to replicate authentically.
