Notes

Studio recording, 2011 (Suck It and See album). Alex Turner's main rig for the album featured his Fender Bronco through a Selmer Zodiac and/or 1960s Magnatone amp. Vox AC30 and Orange AD30TC were also used by the band in this era, but evidence for the riff section of 'Brick By Brick' points to the Bronco/Selmer/Magnatone setup. No evidence of live/tour-specific substitutions for the studio recording.

Difficulty

The riff is based on straightforward power chords and rhythm playing, but requires tight timing, dynamic pick attack, and some muting for clarity. No advanced techniques, but maintaining the punch and groove at album tempo adds moderate challenge.
