Notes

Studio recording, 1992. Dean DeLeo used his PRS Custom 24 into a VHT amp (stereo) with Demeter preamp for rhythm tones on 'Core'. Vox AC30 was set clean and blended for chime. No evidence of pedal use for riff section; effects are amp-based or from studio. Settings estimated based on typical VHT/PRS setup for early 90s STP. No live/touring gear included.

Difficulty

The riff requires intermediate skill due to its syncopated, palm-muted rhythm, dynamic control, and precise chord changes. Maintaining tight articulation and consistent attack is essential for the signature STP crunch.
