Effects & Signal Chain

Notes

Studio recording, 1993-1994, Division Bell sessions. Gilmour used his Black Strat with stock single coils (not EMG), Hiwatt DR103 head, WEM 4x12 cab. Effects chain includes Big Muff, Electric Mistress, delay, and volume pedal. Pickup selector likely bridge or bridge+neck for solo. Live rigs (Pulse) used similar setup but with some pedal updates.

Difficulty

The solo requires expressive phrasing, dynamic control, and smooth bends/vibrato, but does not involve extreme speed or advanced techniques, placing it at an intermediate to moderately advanced level.
