Notes

Studio recording, 1983-1984 (Born in the U.S.A. sessions). Guitar is the iconic Esquire/Tele hybrid with a single bridge pickup. Amp is widely reported as a Fender Bassman for this era and song. Some sources mention possible use of Marshall Plexi or Mesa Boogie in other contexts, but Bassman is most consistently cited for this solo. Effects include overdrive/distortion and slapback delay. No evidence of modulation effects. Pickup preamp mod may have been active for added output.

Difficulty

The solo requires intermediate technique with fast picking, aggressive bends, and tight timing to match the slapback delay, but does not involve advanced shredding or complex chord voicings.
