Notes

Studio recording, 2005-2006 era. Sources indicate Ian D'Sa used a Strat with a hot humbucker (Seymour Duncan JB) in the bridge, through a Komet Concorde amp for the main riff. Fuzz pedal (Zvex Woolly Mammoth or Fuzz Factory) is confirmed for this song's riff. Compression is a signature of the album's guitar sound. No evidence of time-based or modulation effects in the riff section.

Difficulty

The riff requires fast, tight alternate picking and palm muting with precise timing, made more challenging by the saturated fuzz tone which can obscure articulation if not played cleanly.
