Notes

Studio recording, 1977. Steve Jones plugged straight into a cranked Fender Twin Reverb for the Sex Pistols' debut album sessions, including 'Did You No Wrong'. No pedals or effects used for the riff section; Jones' tone was achieved by maxing out the amp volume for natural tube overdrive. No evidence of modulation or time-based effects on this track's riff section.

Difficulty

The riff is based on fast, aggressive punk downstrokes and power chords at a medium-fast tempo, but does not require advanced technique or complex chord voicings.
