Notes

Studio recording, 1976. Ace Frehley used his 1959 Les Paul Standard with a hot rewound pickup through a Marshall Superlead stack. Electro-Harmonix Big Muff fuzz pedal was used for solos. No evidence of additional effects or pedals for this solo. Settings estimated based on era, genre, and Ace's own 'turn it up to 10' approach. No evidence of amp reverb or other amp-based effects.

Difficulty

The solo requires intermediate lead technique, including fast pentatonic licks, expressive bends, and sustaining notes with fuzz. The phrasing and vibrato demand control, but no advanced shred techniques are present.
