Notes

Studio recording, 2003. Brody Dalle used a Fender Mustang with single-coil pickups into a Fender Twin Reverb as her main amp. Some sources mention slaving the Twin into Marshalls for extra volume, but the core tone is from the Twin. Distortion pedals (EarthQuaker Devices Talons, Maxon SD-9 Sonic Distortion) are cited as part of her studio setup for this era. No evidence of modulation or time-based effects in the riff section.

Difficulty

The riff is fast and requires tight, aggressive downstroke strumming and palm muting, but uses straightforward punk chord shapes and rhythm.
