Notes

Studio recording, 1972. Joe Perry used a Gibson Les Paul Custom with stock humbuckers into a Music Man HD-130 amp for the clean riff sections. No evidence of pedal use for clean tone in the studio. All evidence points to a straightforward guitar-to-amp setup for the clean intro/riff.

Difficulty

The riff requires intermediate skill due to hybrid picking, clean note separation, and dynamic control to maintain the touch-sensitive, articulate clean tone.
