Studio recording, 1993 (for 'Dookie' album, released 1994). Billie Joe Armstrong used his 'Blue' Strat with Seymour Duncan JB bridge pickup into two Marshall Super Lead heads (Dookie mod and SE Lead mod), both run simultaneously and blended. No evidence of other guitars or amps for this song's riff section. No evidence of effects loop or additional rack effects for the riff. Settings are based on studio era, not modern live rig.
