Notes

Studio recording, 1991, Nevermind sessions. Guitar was a Japanese Stratocaster, confirmed smashed at the end of the Endless, Nameless take. Amp setup was Mesa/Boogie Studio Preamp into Crown power amp and Marshall 4x12 cabinet, as per Guitar World and Equipboard. Pedals included Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi (likely Ram's Head version) for fuzz/distortion. No evidence of modulation or time-based pedals in this section. No amp reverb or effects loop used.

Difficulty

The riff is technically simple in terms of note choice but requires intermediate skill to control feedback, manage chaotic dynamics, and execute aggressive picking and physical guitar abuse without losing timing.
