Notes

Studio recording, 2004-2005 (Pushing the Senses album sessions). Grant Nicholas used his main live rig in the studio: Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and JMI AC30, sometimes re-amped through a Marshall JMP. Pedalboard was not fixed; fuzz pedals (Tone Bender, Big Muff, RoShi ELF) and delay (EHX Memory Man) were key. Settings estimated based on era, genre, and amp type due to lack of explicit numbers.

Difficulty

The riff is based on open chords and ringing notes with a big, sustaining fuzz/delay sound. The main challenge is controlling dynamics and clarity with heavy fuzz and delay, but the actual fretting and picking are accessible to intermediate players.
