Notes

Studio recording, 2007, Favourite Worst Nightmare sessions. Evidence from Equipboard and period photos confirms Selmer 30SS was used for the main riff. Vox AC30 was also used by Turner in this era, but Selmer is specifically cited for 'Fluorescent Adolescent' studio recording. No evidence of pedal use for the riff section; MXR Micro Amp was on Turner's board but mainly used for solos/boosts.

Difficulty

The riff is rhythmically straightforward but requires precise picking and dynamic control to achieve the signature chime and breakup. The main challenge is clean execution and maintaining the riff's bounce.
