Studio recording, 1995 (Mellon Collie era, remastered 2012). Billy Corgan is documented using a Fender Stratocaster with DiMarzio pickups into an A/DA MP-1 preamp into a Marshall JCM800 head with KT-88 tubes for rhythm/riff sections on Mellon Collie. No evidence of live rig or alternate guitars for this section. No evidence of Big Muff or fuzz for this riff, distortion is preamp/amp-based.
