Notes

Studio recording, 1999. Tom DeLonge used a Stratocaster with a single Seymour Duncan Invader humbucker in the bridge and a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier for the album. No evidence of pedals in the riff section. Live and tutorial sources use modelers or Orange AD30, but original studio recording is Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier.

Difficulty

The riff requires fast, accurate power chord changes and tight palm muting at a brisk tempo, but uses straightforward punk techniques without advanced lead work.
