Notes

Studio recording, 1969. John Fogerty used his modified Rickenbacker 325 with a Les Paul bridge pickup and Bigsby, plugged into a Kustom K200A-4 amp. No pedals; amp effects only. Confirmed by multiple interviews and gear rundowns. No evidence of additional pedals or outboard effects for the riff section.

Difficulty

The riff requires solid hybrid picking and rhythmic precision to capture the song's swampy, percussive feel, but does not involve advanced chord shapes or fast lead work.
