Notes

Studio recording, 2008 era. Guitarist Johan Söderberg used an ESP Snakebyte with EMG pickups. The Kemper Profiler was not available in 2008, but interviews indicate the band now profiles their old Peavey 6505/EVH 5150 + Tube Screamer setup for both studio and live. For the original recording, Peavey 6505 with a Tube Screamer in front is most likely. Settings estimated based on genre, amp, and era. No evidence of time-based or modulation effects in the riff section.

Difficulty

The riff requires tight, aggressive palm muting and precise alternate picking at a medium-fast tempo, with consistent articulation and control in a low tuning. Not technically extreme, but demands solid metal rhythm technique.
