Notes

Studio recording for 'Happy?' (2005). Greg Tribbett used the Randall V2 for distorted rhythm tones on the album, with the Flying V Gothic and EMG 81 pickups. Clean tones were tracked with a Roland JC-120, but the riff section is confirmed as Randall V2. No evidence of additional distortion pedals for the riff section; all gain from amp. Effects chain includes noise gate for tightness. No evidence of time-based or modulation effects on the riff section.

Difficulty

The riff requires tight, aggressive palm muting and precise alternate picking at a fast tempo, with syncopated rhythms that demand accuracy and stamina.
