Studio recording, 1993 Dookie sessions. Billie Joe Armstrong used his Fernandes 'Blue' Strat with a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge for most rhythm/riff parts. Amp was a Marshall Super Lead 1959 SLP, often blended with a Mesa/Boogie .50 Caliber+ for added tightness. No evidence of drive/distortion pedals on the main riff—amp distortion only. Pickup selector set to bridge for riff. No chorus, delay, or modulation audible on riff. No pedalboard evidence for this song's studio recording.
