Studio recording, 1989-1990. Nuno Bettencourt is confirmed to use the Washburn N4 with Bill Lawrence L500XL bridge pickup for heavy riffing on 'Pornograffitti'. The Pro Co Rat pedal was used as a low-gain boost/tightener before the Marshall. No evidence of modulation or time-based effects on the riff section. Settings are estimated based on era, genre, and Nuno's stated approach for tight, percussive rhythm tones.
