Notes

Studio recording, 1980. Amp was a heavily modded Marshall 1959 Super Lead, no treble booster, straight in. Effects used in studio included chorus, delay, and wah for the solo. Guitar was Iommi's Jaydee Custom SG with custom John Birch pickups. No evidence of Laney amps or other guitars for this track's solo.

Difficulty

The solo requires advanced phrasing, fast legato and picking, expressive use of wah, and control over sustain and clarity with multiple effects, making it challenging for most intermediate players.
