Notes

Studio recording, 1992. Akira Takasaki used the ESP Random Star with Seymour Duncan pickups and the Marshall JMP-1 preamp as the core of his rig for this era. No direct evidence of pedals used specifically on 'High Try' riff, but pedalboard photos from the era show overdrive and modulation pedals in his setup.

Difficulty

The riff requires fast, accurate picking and palm muting at high gain, demanding tight rhythm and noise control typical of advanced metal rhythm guitar.
