Studio recording, 1956. Guitarist: Scotty Moore. The ES-295 was used for the main riff section of 'Hound Dog' as confirmed by Premier Guitar and MusicRadar. The EchoSonic amp included a built-in tape echo, but no evidence of it being used on this track. No pedals or additional effects were used; all tone is from guitar and amp.
