Notes

Studio recording, 2003, Absolution album. Matt Bellamy used his Manson MB-1 with a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in the bridge for the main riff. Diezel VH4 amp was used for high-gain rhythm tones. No evidence of live/tour gear or alternate guitars for the studio riff section.

Difficulty

The riff requires fast, accurate alternate picking with string skipping and tight muting to maintain clarity at high speed. Stamina is needed to play the repetitive, driving pattern cleanly throughout the song.
