Notes

Studio recording, 1994. Dimebag was known to use the Washburn Dime 333 with Bill Lawrence L-500XL bridge pickup and Randall RG100ES amp for Far Beyond Driven (1994), including 'I'm Broken'. Effects include EQ and wah for solos. No evidence of delay or chorus in this solo. Furman PQ-3/4 parametric EQ and Digitech Whammy were also in his rig, but Whammy not audibly used in this solo.

Difficulty

The solo requires advanced picking speed, aggressive palm muting, expressive wah pedal use, and technical phrasing with wide bends and fast legato runs, making it challenging for most players.
