Studio recording, 2000-2001 (Mutter album sessions). Richard Z. Kruspe used his ESP RZK-1 prototype with EMG 81 pickups into a Voodoo-modded Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier head and Mesa 4x12 cab. No confirmed pedal use for the riff section; distortion is amp-based. Settings are averaged from forum sources and typical for this genre/amp. No evidence of time-based or modulation effects in the riff section.
