Notes

Studio recording, 1988; gear based on period interviews, photos, and known Cacophony setups. No direct source for clean section gear, but both Becker and Friedman used Jackson Soloists with Seymour Duncan pickups into Marshall JCM800s for the 'Speed Metal Symphony' and 'Go Off!' albums. Settings estimated for clean tone on JCM800, which is rare but possible at low gain. No evidence of live variation for this part.

Difficulty

The clean solo section in 'Images' by Cacophony is extremely technical, demanding flawless execution of rapid-fire legato, alternate picking, and complex phrasing at high speed with perfect clarity.
