Effects & Signal Chain

Notes

Studio recording, 1998. Rzeznik used a Takamine EF341SC acoustic-electric in BDDDD tuning for the main riff/verse/chorus rhythm parts, plugged in and processed with effects. The Les Paul is used for the solo/lead, not the riff. Effects and amp settings are inferred from era, genre, and available sources.

Difficulty

The main riff is technically straightforward but requires non-standard tuning, careful strumming, and attention to effect timing for the signature sound.
