Notes

Studio recording, 1985, Under Lock and Key album. George Lynch was known for using his ESP Kamikaze with a Duncan Screamin' Demon into a cranked Marshall JCM800 for Dokken's heavy rhythm tones. No direct evidence of pedals for the riff, but Lynch often used a boost/overdrive in front of the amp for extra saturation. No evidence of time-based or modulation effects on the riff section.

Difficulty

The riff requires tight palm muting, precise picking, and rhythmic accuracy at a moderate tempo, making it challenging for intermediate players but not requiring advanced lead techniques.
