Notes

Studio recording, 1992 (Dirt album). Jerry Cantrell used the G&L Rampage with the bridge humbucker for most heavy rhythm tracks on Dirt, including 'Junkhead' riff. The amp setup was a Bogner Fish preamp into a Marshall JCM800 head, as confirmed by Cantrell in interviews and Equipboard. No evidence of live rig or alternate guitars for this section.

Difficulty

The riff requires tight, palm-muted rhythm playing with precise timing and muting, but does not involve advanced lead techniques or fast tempo, making it intermediate.
