Notes

Studio recording, 1985-1986. Guitar used was the Hohner MadCat with maple neck and Strat-style single-coil pickups, bridge pickup selected. Amp was a Mesa/Boogie Mark IIB set for a clean tone, into Bag End 4x12 cabinets with JBL D120F speakers. Settings and gear confirmed for studio use on 'Kiss' era; no evidence of live rig differences for this song's clean riff.

Difficulty

The riff requires precise funk rhythm technique, tight muting, and clean articulation to achieve the percussive, dry sound. While not technically advanced in terms of speed or complex chords, the groove and accuracy demand intermediate skill.
