Studio recording, 1987. David Hidalgo and Cesar Rosas both used a variety of guitars, but Stratocaster is most associated with the riff tone on the studio version. Deluxe Reverb amp confirmed for clean/rhythm tones. No evidence of pedal use for the riff section; overdrive and effects likely from amp or studio processing.
