Notes

Studio recording, 2001. Both Nick Valensi and Albert Hammond Jr. used nearly identical rigs for the 'Is This It' album. The main riff of 'Last Nite' is widely attributed to Nick Valensi's Riviera into a Hot Rod Deville with minimal pedals. No evidence of additional effects or amp reverb for the riff section.

Difficulty

The riff is rhythmically straightforward but requires tight, consistent strumming and muting to achieve the punchy, percussive feel. No advanced techniques are required, but maintaining the groove and attack is key.
