Notes

Studio recording for the Cars soundtrack (2006). Guitarist Joe Don Rooney used Dann Huff's vintage Les Paul plugged into a Bogner Ecstasy head/cab. Keeley compressor and Fulltone overdrive were in the chain for other sections, but for the clean riff, the amp was set clean or edge-of-breakup. No evidence of live rig or alternate guitars for the clean riff section.

Difficulty

The riff requires tight rhythmic accuracy and dynamic control for a clean, articulate sound, but does not involve advanced techniques or fast lead playing.
