Joe Perry is known for swapping guitars, but for the main riff on 'Love In an Elevator', period interviews and tech rundowns confirm a Les Paul into a Marshall JTM45 reissue was the core studio setup. No evidence of Strat or other models for the main riff. Pedals were used sparingly, with most gain from the amp and boosts.
