Notes

Studio recording, 1977/1978. Andy Scott used his red 1963 ES-335 into a John Hornby Skewes treble booster, then into a Watkins Copicat echo (with boost), into a Jennings AC40 amp. Sometimes a prototype H&H combo was also used for dirtier tones, but main riff tone is from the Jennings AC40. No evidence of Marshall or BluGuitar AMP1 on the original studio recording.

Difficulty

The riff requires tight timing, dynamic picking, and clean chord stabs typical of 70s British rock. Intermediate players will find the articulation and syncopation challenging but accessible.
