Notes

Studio recording, 1962. Guitar was a left-handed Stratocaster strung with extremely heavy gauge strings (.016–.060), tremolo blocked with wood, all five springs installed. Amp was the original Fender Dual Showman, developed with Leo Fender, into JBL D-130F speakers. Reverb from Fender standalone spring reverb unit. No pedals or stompboxes used; all effects from amp/reverb unit. Pickup selector set to bridge. Volume and tone on guitar likely set high for maximum attack and brightness.

Difficulty

The solo requires relentless, precise tremolo picking at very high speed, demanding both technical control and physical stamina. The articulation and attack must remain consistent throughout, making it a challenging piece for even advanced players.
