Notes

Studio recording for 'Mutter' (2001). Richard Z. Kruspe used a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier 3-channel head, Voodoo Amps Platinum Mod, with ESP LTD EC-1000 loaded with EMG 81 active humbuckers. No evidence of additional pedals for the riff section; high-gain amp tone. Paul Landers used SansAmp GT2 direct for his rhythm parts, but the main riff is Kruspe's Rectifier tone.

Difficulty

The riff requires tight, consistent palm muting and precise rhythm but does not involve advanced techniques or fast tempo, making it accessible to intermediate players.
