Notes

Studio recording for 'Mz. Hyde' (2012, The Strange Case Of...), main riff section. Joe Hottinger played the riff using a custom Telecaster with a Seymour Duncan SH-11 bridge pickup, through a Marshall Plexi and either a Diezel VH4 or Soldano 100W, with pedals including Ibanez TS808 Tube Screamer, MXR Phase 90, flanger, and possibly others. No evidence of live rig or Lzzy Hale's gear for this specific part.

Difficulty

The riff requires tight, aggressive palm muting, syncopated rhythm, and precise alternate picking to maintain clarity and punch at a medium-fast tempo. Not technically advanced, but demands control and consistency.
