Notes

Studio recording, 1965. Both John and George played matching Sonic Blue 1961 Fender Stratocasters, double-tracked in unison for the solo. Amp is almost certainly Vox AC100 or AC30, as per Rubber Soul era studio documentation. No evidence of pedals; heavy studio compression and treble boost applied at the mixing desk. No evidence of live performance with this exact setup.

Difficulty

The solo requires intermediate skill due to the need for precise double-tracking, clean articulation, and timing, as well as executing the whammy bar dip smoothly. The technical demands are moderate, but the tone and phrasing must be very controlled.
