Live version (mid-1990s), clean intro/riff section. Jerry Cantrell played a Guild JF55 acoustic-electric plugged into a Fender Twin Reverb for the clean parts. No evidence of electric guitar or high-gain amp for the clean riff. Studio version used a similar Guild acoustic. No pedalboard effects confirmed for clean section.
