Notes

Studio recording, 2012 (¡Uno! album). Billie Joe's 'Blue' Telecaster with a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge was used for the main riff. Amp is a modded Marshall Plexi Super Lead, consistent with Green Day's studio rig for this era. No evidence of pedals in the main riff section; distortion comes from amp gain. No chorus, delay, or modulation audible in the riff. Minimal or no reverb.

Difficulty

The riff is based on straightforward power chords and requires tight rhythm and palm muting, but no advanced techniques or fast passages.
