Studio recording, 2010 (from 'The Powerless Rise' album). Phil Sgrosso and Nick Hipa both used Axe-Fx II for amp tones, with Sgrosso on PRS or Charvel guitars with active pickups. The 5150 amp model was used for high-gain tones. Pedals such as Maxon OD808 were commonly used as boosts in front of the amp model. No evidence of traditional tube amps or analog pedals in the studio chain for this album's solos.
